About the Readings
In the Sunday and festival readings, Old Testament readings and Psalms are cited by Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) numbering, with the Hebrew (Masoretic, “MT”) numbering in parentheses where it differs. Many Old Testament readings are lengthened so that the whole passage is read rather than a fragment of it. Daily Devotion readings use the Hebrew numbering found in English Bibles through the end of church year 2025–26; from the 1st Sunday in Advent 2026 they use Septuagint numbering, with the Hebrew numbering in parentheses where it differs. Readings for days that have not yet been published are planned and may be revised; each published day links to its post.
